The story between Fumi and Mika is similar to the movie Fight Club. They both started out with the main characters having subconsciously created an altered ego of themselves that was the opposite of their own personalities in order to enable them to deal with the ordeals of their lives. Both main characters went on to confront their own altered egos in a big showdown of fist fights. However, that’s where the similarity ends.

This episode is mostly a setup episode for the final stretch of Shigofumi. As it turns out, Fumika’s gun is also Fumika’s Shigofumi. This explains why there is a stamp on the gun. However, it is pretty confusing to me as to who sent the gun as Shigofumi since I thought a Shigofumi is sent from a dead person. In any case, Fumika is to deliver it to the just-woken Fumi, and it comes with a PS: Shoot the mailman.

Human has a field of view of about 46°. That’s just a little more than 1/8 of the entire field. Of course, if we would just turn our head, we would gain the other 7/8. However, us human are often so occupied with the 1/8, that we’ve become stiff-necked.
Seeing only so little, that is when we start to miss the meaning of our lives.
